Chicken pulao

 Chicken Pulao Recipe (1 kg Chicken)

( Traditional Pakistani chicken pulao)

Ingredients

1. Basmati Rice - 1 kg (approx. 5 cups), soaked

2. Chicken- 1 kg (boneless, skinless breast or thighs)

3. Onions- 4 medium, chopped

4. Garlic - 4 cloves, minced

5. Ginger - 2 inches, grated

6. Cumin Seeds (Zeera) - 2 tsp

7. Coriander Powder (Dhaniya Powder)- 2 tsp

8. Garam Masala Powder 2 tsp

9. Turmeric Powder (Haldi)- 2 tsp

10. Red Chili Powder (Lal Mirch) - 2 tsp

11. Salt (Namak) 2 tsp (or to taste)

12. Vegetable Oil (Tail) - 5 tbsp

13. Chicken Stock (Yakhni) 4 cups

14. Water (Pani)- 2-3 cups (adjust as needed)

15. Fresh Cilantro (Hara Dhaniya) chopped, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

1. Wash and Soak:

Rice ko achi tarah dhoke 30 minutes ke liye bhigo dein, phir pani nikaal kar side par rakh dein.

2. Marinate Chicken:

Chicken ko zeera, dhaniya powder, garam masala powder, haldi, lal mirch, aur namak ke saath marinate kar ke 15-20 minutes ke liye rakh dein.

3. Sauté:

 Ek bade pan mein tail garam karein, phir onions, garlic, aur ginger ko golden brown hone tak bhun lein.

4. Cook Chicken:

Marinated chicken ko pan mein add kar ke golden aur fully cooked hone tak paka lein.

5. Add Rice:

 Soaked rice ko add karke chicken aur masalon mein gently mix karein.

6. Add Liquids:

Yakhni aur pani add karke gently stir karein.

7. Simmer:

Pan ko cover kar ke low heat par 30-35 minutes tak pakayein jab tak rice aur chicken achi tarah se tender aur fluffy na ho jayein.

8. Garnish:

 Heat ko off karke 5 minutes ke liye rest karein, phir hara dhaniya se garnish karein.


Tips

1. High-Quality Basmati Rice:

Achi quality ka basmati rice istemal karein taake pulao khila khila aur flavorful bane.

2. Marination:

Marinate karne se chicken ka taste aur enhance ho jata hai.

3. Cook Covered:

 Dhakkan mein paka kar flavors lock aur rice evenly cooked rehta hai.


Variations

1. Spices ko Adjust Karein:

Apne taste ke mutabiq spices adjust karein.

2. Vegetables Add Karein:

Carrots, peas ya bell peppers bhi add ki ja sakti hain.

3. Coconut Milk ya Yogurt:

 Extra creamy taste ke liye coconut milk ya yogurt add karein.
